You are recent graduates, eager to start your professional life!
Your job search can be a real source of stress, and finding your first job is often not easy… But don’t worry! Healthcare is one of the main sectors for young people to find work. And know that the science-related positions are diverse.

In this article, I want to share my experience as a young graduate from 2021.

Graduating this year with a Master’s degree in Health Biology, I turned towards communication and recruitment. Yes, there are many career paths after scientific studies! I completed my final internship as a communication and recruitment officer at Axeme Conseil. I’ve always wanted to combine communication with healthcare. I discovered recruitment in the medical device industry, a new and very enriching skill—both humanly and through the variety of its missions. As you can see, before joining Axeme, I had no prior knowledge of recruitment. During these 6 months of internship, I learned the recruiter’s job, a very human, relational, and dynamic profession. I discovered a passion for human resources and recruitment.

And what if I told you that this internship was done entirely remotely? Yes, anything is possible!
I was able to manage many projects, take charge of the firm’s communication, interview candidates, and develop my creativity from a distance. This allowed me to be autonomous and organize my work. Remote work is definitely possible!

Today, I am continuing the adventure with Axeme!

Our training does not lead only to one particular field—for example, research. When people think of healthcare jobs, they often picture a bespectacled scientist in a lab coat. In reality, healthcare includes a wide variety of professions in many sectors: communication, sales, IT, digital, artificial intelligence, robotics, plastics, and more…

Work in a field you enjoy, regardless of your training. You will easily adapt to the assigned tasks and tools, gaining autonomy and responsibility. It is not just your years of study that will help you integrate smoothly into a company but also your communication skills, responsiveness, and initiative.
